what v0 means

it means nobody has promised you anything yet.

a package at v0 can change in any way at any time. the liquidity can leave. the publisher can sell everything. nothing is committed, because commitment is exactly what a 1.0.0 is for. so a swap in a v0 pool costs $10 for every $1,000 you trade, and a swap in a released one costs $3.

breaking is not blocked. a publisher who wants to sell can sell, in the same second, like anybody else. what happens is that the version goes to v2.0.0-rc.1 in that block, and the number never goes back down.

section02

a green badge is not a safe token

this is the part that does not work. read it before you trade.

the four boxes are a list we wrote. anything not on that list passes. a package can hold a green v1.0.0 badge and still be worthless, abandoned, copied from somebody else, or built by people you would not lend twenty dollars to. none of that is on the list, and none of it can be checked from a contract.

it is a real record, and it is worth something. it is not a review, an audit, an endorsement, or a safety rating, and this registry will never publish one of those.

every token starts at v0.1.0.

nothing here stops you from breaking your promise. it only makes you version it.
